Heat Transfer Reflective Film

Heat transfer reflective film — commonly known as HTV reflective film or iron-on reflective tape — is the preferred reflective material for garment decorators, screen printers, uniform manufacturers, and promotional merchandise producers who need to add high-visibility reflective elements to fabric without sewing. The film is applied using a standard heat press machine or domestic iron, bonding permanently to cotton, polyester, poly-cotton blends, nylon, and most synthetic fabrics in a single press cycle.

Sha Kundanmal Misrimal supplies heat transfer reflective film that achieves retroreflective coefficients compliant with EN ISO 20471 and ANSI/ISEA 107 standards, making it suitable for certified high-visibility garments as well as general safety and promotional apparel. The film construction consists of a microprismatic or glass-bead retroreflective layer laminated to a thermoplastic adhesive backing protected by a release liner. Application requires a heat press set to 140–160°C with medium pressure for 10–15 seconds, followed by a warm peel of the carrier film.

Once applied, the reflective layer forms a flexible, crack-resistant bond that withstands repeated stretching, bending, and laundering. Wash durability typically exceeds 25 industrial wash cycles at 60°C without delamination or significant loss of retroreflective performance — making it suitable for workwear that undergoes rigorous commercial laundering.

The film is available in a standard silver (retroreflective) finish, as well as colored retroreflective variants — yellow, orange, and red — for applications where brand color or safety color coding is required alongside reflectivity. Custom shapes, logos, and lettering can be cut using a vinyl plotter/cutter and heat-applied in a single operation, making it highly suitable for custom uniform branding with built-in safety compliance.
